In this episode of gossip girl it is shown that Blaire is finding it very tough to adjust herself according to his new British boyfriend, Lord Marcus Beatons’s ways. The boyfriend of Blaire introduces her to his parents. It is then that the actual identity of Marcus’s mother is disclosed. The mother of Marcus is Catherine, the same married woman who has a steamy relationship with Nate. At the Beaton party Chuck finds a way to make Blaire jealous as he brings along with him Catherine at the party, the same married woman who was in a steamy relationship with Nate and Nate’s secret love interest.

Meanwhile, both Nate and Serena tries shows to their respective partners that they are not at all jealous and moved by them. So they get really very close. Nate tries to keep himself away from Catherine who is along with Chuck. Serena is having doubt that she might be restarting her romance and relationship with Dan. Chuck and Marcus begins a very unexpected friendship. Catherine calls Nate to meet him at the library.

When Nate reached library and meet Catherine, she asked him what is the matter that is bothering him.Nate then informs her that he is bothered by his mother. Catherine says to him that he can handle this with only support from her. Blaire visits library and sees what all is going between Catherine and Nate. Blaire make a revelation.
