In this episode of gossip girl it is shown that although it is Thanksgiving day but there was no feeling of holiday present in anyone. Blair and Serena had a fight once when Serena admits that she saw Blair and Chuck together. Blair orders Serena to keep this information confined to herself. Meanwhile, Nate and his family spend a strained thanksgiving meal before Mr. Archibalds lands himself in hospital for attempting to commit suicide. Having been not invited by Blair for Waldorf’s Thanksgiving meal, Van der Woodson has dinner with Humphrey’s at their loft in Brooklyn, and the tension between Allison, Rufus and Lily is palpable.

Back in Manhattan, in Waldorf’s penthouse, Blair revisits her bout of bulimia after she gets the information that fobades her father in order to join them for the dinner on the occasion of Thanksgiving. Through out this episode flashback of previous year’s thanksgiving day was shown. It is shown that how Dan met the stoned Serena for very first time. The other event that was shown that Blair celebrating Thanksgiving with her mother and father before they were separated. There is a complete contrast between the previous year’s joy and this years strife. The shock that we get after watching the episode is Da, Serena, Jenny and Eric finding out the truths about their parents. And its nice that they have their family moments. Blair also enjoy the company of her mother.
