In this episode of Lost it is shown that when Claire comments about the Virgin Mary statue, the same statue that belongs to Charlie in front of Mr. Eko, he then request her he wants to see the statue himself. When Claire takes Mr. Eko to make him view the statue he analyzes it very anxiously and very carefully. He then breaks open the statue. Through the statue he exposes a secret about Charlie to Claire. Mr. Eko then takes Charlie along with him to show him the place where he exactly he founded the crashed plane in the jungle. Then in this episode some light is shed on the past life history of Mr. Eko and flashback of his past life is shown. In the flashback it is shown about his life when he used to live in Nigeria.

Meanwhile Locke teaches Michael how to hold a rifle and how to shoot from it. Michael then uses the computer in order to contact someone whom he believes is his lost son, Walt. Claire does not want Michael to live very close to her and her son any longer. This episode shows about the dark life lead by Mr. Eko in Nigeria. It shows everything from his childhood along with with his brother in a catholic church to his adulthood when he becomes very dangerous drug lord.
